Can Becoming An Artist Be Made Any Easier?

By Michael Dale

Why do Art beginners like to make it hard for themselves?

Yet, many of experienced top artists seem to want to return to first principles. Which way is best? Could it be the qualified artist or the beginner who has got the right idea?

How can the inexperienced learner have the answer when an expert artist has all the knowledge? The professional artist, who has the drawing and painting skill should hold the key… surely they must have all the answers.

Many modern artists seem to have turned their backs on the strict disciplines of the Old Masters. Why should this be? Can there be no place for a keen eye for detail?

Could it be your artistic destiny to discover the answer? It may lie somewhere between the outright novice and established expert. Some say art is subjective. They also say that art can mean different things to different people.

Why should a learner expect to be heard?… especially when they have little expertise and cannot creatively prove their skills in painting or drawing. However, an expert painter's search for perfection can still seem to be getting further away from them.

What good artists and beginners can discover is the beauty in simplicity…

  • A finished canvas can be impressive even when only a single color is used
  • Contrasting colors can be blended into amazing designs
  • Simple lines, arcs and curves can be combined to create all manner of shapes

It doesn't matter if your ambition is to continue on your artistic journey as a promising beginner, or whether your heart's desire is to return to childlike origins. When all good art relies upon making the best of your drawing and painting skills, it relies on your ability to carry on using your designer's eye along with a sureness of hand…

Learn that this is the only way to control your creative passions and you will discover a definite path to making your artistic success a reality.
